X'mas Thoughts
< 4/4 >
Henny van Nistelrooy co-designed the Christmas window display for ecological shoe manufacturer Terra Plana in their five London stores.
In reaction to the saturation of Christmas bling on the high street, 'X'mas Thoughts' attempted to communicate the value of Terra Plana in an intelligible manner. "This installation speaks about what really matters to us, this time of the year, and always. The importance of having people that are dear, the real meaning of a gift, and the moments of happiness that you find in small things and situations."
Personal messages were spelled out with Terra Plana's shoes and laces. The typography created out of shoe laces was used in the overall communication for Terra Plana's season’s greetings. Through this communication Terra Plana wants to represent those brief moments of happiness, which is what makes this time of the year so special.
