Established in 1967, Lisson Gallery is one of the most influential and longest-running international contemporary art galleries in the world with spaces in London, New York, and Shanghai.

Their newest Beijing location is a 780 square meter space within Blanc international Contemporary Art Space, Beijing Lisson Gallery occupies the fourth floor of the building.

The objective of the design was to reflect Lisson Gallery standard as leading international contemporary art gallery and we wanted to make reference to its existing spaces in London and New York. The emphasis of the gallery is to provide spaces for high quality public exhibitions and private viewing experiences. For this we wanted to create the very best exhibition environment, while designing a back of house organisation that allows easy turnover of art and a smooth gallery operation.
